Gangwon Province Art Troupe Performs in Huainan

On October 18th, the Beautiful Huainan ·You Are a Nice Friend—Gangwon Province Art Troupe of South Korea performed in Chunshenli Cultural Street of Huainan City. The art performance served as a bridge to make Chinese and Korean cultures exchange through interaction.
This event was organized by the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and hosted by the Huainan Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism. In an immersive form of “performances and interaction” , it delivered a culturally vibrant celebration that blended warmth and texture for citizens and tourists who braved the rain to attend.
On the day of the performance, a light rain fell, but it did not affect the audience's enthusiasm for watching. The audience, either holding umbrellas or wearing raincoats, focused on appreciating, and the applause and cheers became even more enthusiastic in the rain, creating a touching scene of art and passion.

On the grand stage, the performances of the three chapters perfectly interpreted the deep connotation of “mutual learning of civilizations”. The first chapter titled “All Regions Compose a New Chapter” kicked off with Chinese Hand in Hand performed by representatives from Huainan. The cheerful melody instantly heated up the atmosphere on site.


In the second chapter titled “Mutual Learning of Civilizations Through Arts”, Chinese and Korean art performances were staged alternately, winning thunderous applause. Long Drum Performance by the South Korean art troupe showed its resounding drumbeat and the classic song Arirang was melodious. Huainan local children’s dance Help and dazzling dance were full of vitality.

The third chapter “Building a Prosperous Era with One Heart” pushed the performance to its climax. South Korean performances such as Flower Crown Dance and Fan Dance showed exotic charm.


The children’s Beijing Opera performance Pear Garden Gathering and the flower drum lantern dance Fan took turns to perform. When the dancers of Phoenix Singing in the Chu State , a kind of dance to show Chu Culture, performed the last step with a graceful and stunning posture, the audience burst into thunderous applause. This cultural exchange feast between China and South Korea came to a successful end in the warm artistic atmosphere of Chu charm.

Outside the stage, the fun market was also bustling with excitement. Intangible cultural heritage projects such as Paper Cuttings in Huainan, leather art of Hui Ethnic and Han Ethnic, Shouzhou kiln ceramic production techniques and so on were unveiled. Crafts full of ingenuity let visitors feel the unique charm of Huainan intangible cultural heritage at a close distance.
