Representatives of Overseas Chinese Federation Visit Shouxian County
The activity “Interaction Between Overseas Federation and Base · Cultural Benefiting Overseas Chinese — Exploring the Ancient City” was successfully held in a base in Shouxian County. Participants included some members of municipal overseas Chinese federation, representatives from the overseas Chinese, volunteers from the overseas Chinese federation, and heads of the overseas Chinese federation at Anhui University of Science and Technology and China Coal.
The participants visited places such as Bagong Residence, Confucius Temple, and the Museum of 24 Solar Terms, experiencing the vitality of the era where styles of Chu State and Han Dynasty blends with modern development. At Bagong Residence, visitors were immersed in the courtyard, as if touching the roots of a 3000-year-old ancient city, evoking a strong sense of nostalgia. In front of the Dacheng Hall of the Confucius Temple, they gently stroked the ancient stele and appreciated the inheritance and continuation of Confucian culture. At the Museum of 24 Solar Terms, through digital technology and immersive 7D experience, they personally experienced the wisdom of the Huainanzi solar terms and marveled at the interaction of intangible cultural heritage and technology.
In recent years, Huainan Municipal Overseas Chinese Federation has always adhered to using overseas Chinese as a "bridge", leveraging the resource advantages of five national and provincial overseas Chinese international cultural exchange bases in Huainan. Through the interaction between overseas Chinese and bases model, the city has transformed the Culture of Chu State and Han Dynasty, Huaihe River Culture, Revolution Culture, and Tofu Culture into cultural experiences that can be perceived by the overseas Chinese. The cultural exchange bases adhere to the "three in one" development positioning of presenting to the outside world, gathering the hearts and efforts of overseas Chinese, and serving the local economy. Since the beginning of this year, the bases have organized themed activities such as "Connecting Overseas Chinese through Postal Transmission", "Overseas Chinese Visiting Ancient City", and "Overseas Chinese Visiting Bases", and has received about 1000 trips of overseas Chinese at home and abroad.
This event is an important practice of the "Interaction Between Overseas Chinese and Bases· Benefiting Overseas Chinese with Culture", and also an extension attempt of the "Overseas Chinese Visiting Huainan" service brand, allowing the overseas Chinese to experience the protection of the ancient city and industrial development, further enhancing their sense of identity with their hometown. Next, Huainan Municipal Overseas Chinese Federation will work with relevant counties, districts, and units to continue to leverage the role of exchange bases as carriers of "gathering overseas Chinese through culture and promoting development through overseas Chinese", attracting overseas Chinese entrepreneurs to investigate and invest in cultural tourism industry, and achieving a win-win situation between cultural inheritance and economic development.
