Chinese and Foreign Youth Enjoy Intangible Cultural Heritage Together at Lantern Festival
On the afternoon of March 3rd, the exchange activity,organized by the Huainan Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, titled “Youths Celebrate Spring Festival in China”, was held in Bagongshan District, Huainan City. Sixteen international student representatives from Anhui University of Science and Technology and Huainan Normal University gathered together to celebrate the Lantern Festival and experience intangible cultural heritage.

During the event, the international students visited the Bagongshan Tianbao Shuangyi Cultural Park and the Bagongshan Scenic Area, where they explored the intangible cultural heritage exhibition area, the geological museum, and the Huainanzi (The Master of Huainan) Cultural Center. They learned about the craftsmanship of Zijin inkstones, local geological heritage, and the cultural essence of Huainanzi. Under the guidance of intangible cultural heritage inheritors, the students personally experienced Zijin inkstone carving, traditional sachet making, and participated in archery, immersing themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese culture.


At the end of the event, the international students tasted Huainan tofu pudding and sesame glutinous rice balls, experiencing the warmth of reunion in a cozy atmosphere. The participating students expressed that this activity not only deepened their understanding of Chinese festivals and culture, but also made them feel profound humanistic care, building a bridge of friendship between Chinese and international youth.
