Jiaogang Lake Summer Cultural and Tourism Feast Starts

Recently, the summer splendor of the Jiaogang Lake National Wetland Park in Huainan was broadcast on cctv.com. 1000-mu lotuses are in full bloom, gathering 56 unique varieties including white lotus, red lotus, and colorful lotus. Visitors can take a painted pleasure boat or bamboo raft to the “Red Lotus Hidden Realm” at the lake’s center to immerse themselves in the poetic imagery that “as if the visitors row a boat in a painting ”.The lotus blooming season lasts until September. The prime time for viewing lotuses and photography is early mornings and evenings.

In addition to admiring the lotuses, the “Lotus Blossom Season: Chinese Folk Custom Carnival” from June 19 to August 31 will bring a wealth of experiences to visitors: water-based live performances on boats, a cultural parade featuring Chu Cultutre NPC, as well as fun activities like shooting five poisonous creatures, DIY sachets, hand-painted folding fans, and releasing lotus lanterns, allowing you to immerse yourself in traditional Chinese festival customs.

From July 1 on, Jiaogang Lake Film Town will host “Red Lotus Fairy Splashing Water for Blessings”, a myth-themed interactive event, to beat the summer heat. Meanwhile, the Ice Curtain Heaven and Yuquanwan Hot Spring will also launch summer water-based and family-friendly activities.
