Maoxian Cave is an 3A-level scenic area. Located in west of  Bagong Mountain, where is the origin of the idioms of “every bush and tree looks like an enemy” and “fear ambush at every tree and tuft of grass”. Starting from Shoutang Pass in the east and embracing Xiashi in the west, surrounded by water on three sides and wound around by Huaihe River, it is known as the “Small Three Gorges of the Huai River and Magical Maoxian Cave”. The forests and valleys in the mountains are beautiful, and the Huaihe River, running through at the foot of the mountain, is like a belt. Ascending the height to look afar, you can have a bird’s eye view of Shouxi Lake, Dongfeng Lake and Jiaogang Lake. The Dongfei River and Xifei River are connected here, that is the reason why it is called “Three Bays of Feishui River”. The scenic area is dotted with ancient caves, ancient springs, ancient trees, ancient Taoist temples, ancient battlefields, ancient passes, and ancient ruins. The natural scenery of the entire scenic area is unique with profound cultural heritages, abundant sceneryof Huaihe River and ethnic characteristics.
